When I started making this "interactive story" I wasn't really sure what I was getting into. In the end, the story became a touch more personal than I would have ever thought I'd put on the internet.

Specifically, I tried to make it reflect the sort of escapism I see so often in my friends- and myself. There are these "little worlds" we build into games. Games that sometimes have no story of their own! I wanted to try and highlight that, wanted to show that even when a game doesn't  *have* a story we can just make one.- and sometimes dive headlong into it.

There is however, a darker side. I wanted to show the disinterest you can feel when real life has you down. That desire to escape into these fantasy worlds you've created and ignore real problems. I think the main character of my little story is perhaps a touch more extreme than most, apathy having reduced waking life to a checklist, but I recognize that to some people the real world really can become a chore. I wanted to try and show that. Here's hoping I'm in the ballpark.
